My 30+ years of interior design experience means that I’ve worked with people with a wide variety of budgets, design knowledge, and style preferences.
If the look you want is Formal, Contemporary, European, Traditional, Casual or Eclectic – I can help you achieve it. If you’re not sure what to call your design style, but you know what you like, I can usually pin it down pretty quickly.
Color consultations are also something I provide; I know how daunting it is to pick just the right shade from an enormous color palette. Certain colors work better in certain rooms, and I can help you find one that you like that also gives the effect and sets the mood you prefer.
I design for residences and small businesses.
Interior Designer or Interior Decorator?
The terms “interior designer” and “interior decorator” are often used interchangeably, but there is a difference that you should be aware of.
An interior decorator generally refers to someone who deals with finishes, surfaces, furniture, and wall coverings. Anyone can call themselves an interior decorator in Missouri, since there’s no formal educational requirement regarding the use of that title.
Interior design is a more specialized career field, requiring a certain combined level of education and work experience. In addition to work performed by an interior decorator, an interior designer may create spaces for the inside of a new or remodeled home or office, design the lighting for a restaurant, or select the furnishings of a home. An interior designer may also deal with issues of safety like accessibility and building codes.
